Koji Link in Bio: What Happened and What to Use Now
Koji shut down in 2024. See what happened to Koji pages, which tools now cover tips, paid requests and selling, and how to move your link in bio.

Koji no longer exists. Linktree bought Koji in December 2023 and shut down Koji's link in bio product on January 31, 2024, so old Koji pages don't load anymore. If you had a Koji page, or came looking for one, you'll need another tool and a new link in your bio.
Here is what happened, what Koji did that people miss, and which tools cover those features today.
Linktree bought Koji and closed it
On December 14, 2023, Linktree announced it had acquired Koji from its parent company, GoMeta. The price wasn't disclosed. Linktree said in the same announcement that Koji's link in bio product would shut down on January 31, 2024.
| Date | What happened |
|---|---|
| 2016 | GoMeta founded by Dmitry Shapiro and Sean Thielen |
| March 2021 | Koji launches as a link in bio platform |
| June 2023 | Linktree acquires Bento, another link in bio tool |
| December 14, 2023 | Linktree announces it has acquired Koji |
| January 31, 2024 | Koji's link in bio product shuts down |
Linktree's statement at the time: "We're thrilled to welcome Koji users to the Linktree community and are excited to continue to innovate on the category we created." It didn't say whether Koji's team would join Linktree. TechCrunch's report has the full background.
As of October 2026, both withkoji.com and koji.to return server errors instead of a Koji page.
What happened to creators' Koji pages
Koji pages went offline with the shutdown. Every creator using Koji was offered three months of Linktree Pro free, to make moving to Linktree easier.
What wasn't offered, as far as anyone reported, was a migration tool. Coverage at the time said it wasn't clear whether Linktree would give creators a way to move their Koji data over. In practice that meant rebuilding your page by hand on whichever tool you picked next.
If you still have a koji.to address in an old bio, a pinned post, a YouTube description or a printed flyer, it now leads nowhere. Replacing those is the most useful thing you can do today.
What made Koji different
Koji wasn't just a list of links. Pages were built from "mini apps", and by January 2022 there were more than 200 of them, all aimed at earning money or growing an audience. Among them:
- Tip jar: fans could send money directly from your page.
- Video Request: a Cameo-like app where fans paid you for a personalized video.
- Billboard: you sold ad slots on your own page.
- Digital downloads and premium content: files or locked content fans paid to get.
Koji said it served more than 700,000 creators.
What to use now for Koji-style features
No single tool copies Koji exactly, so match the tool to the feature you actually used.
| Koji feature | Where to get it now |
|---|---|
| Tip jar | A Stripe payment link set to "Customer chooses price", added as a button on any link in bio page |
| Video requests | Linktree's Cameo link app, which sends fans to your Cameo profile to book |
| Paid calls or sessions | Linktree's Bookings link app, free or paid time slots from your Google calendar |
| Selling digital products | Linktree on Pro or Premium, or a Stripe or Gumroad product shown on your page |
| Fundraising | Linktree's GoFundMe link, with a Donate now button on your page |
Tips
Stripe lets you create a one-off price with the pricing model Customer chooses price, with an optional suggested amount and limits. Turn that into a payment link and you have a tip jar that works on any page. It's one item per payment and doesn't support recurring tips. Our Stripe payment link guide walks through setting one up.
Paid video requests
Linktree's Cameo link app shows a reel of your Cameo videos on your Linktree, and fans tap through to your Cameo profile to book a personalized message. It only works with a Cameo profile URL, not a single video.
Selling digital products
Linktree lets you sell digital products priced from $1.00 to $10,000 USD, with buyers paying through Stripe. It needs a Pro or Premium plan and is only available in certain countries. On October 17, 2026, Pro was $15 a month ($12 billed annually) and Premium $35 ($30 annually). Linktree's pricing page lists different selling fees in different places: the Pro card says "Sell and earn with 0% fees", while the comparison table shows 9% on Pro and 0% on Premium. Stripe's fee, typically 2.9% + $0.30 per sale, applies on top. For other ways to sell files, see how to sell digital products.

How to move your link in bio page
The work is rebuilding the page and then tracking down everywhere the old link lives.
- List every link you had. If the old page is gone, rebuild the list from your bio, pinned posts and descriptions.
- Build the new page. Add your most important link first. If you're going with Linktree, our step-by-step guide to making a Linktree has the exact buttons.
- Swap your Instagram bio link. Tap Edit profile, then Links, and paste the full new URL including https://.
- Swap it on TikTok, YouTube and anywhere else you had the Koji link.
- Replace printed QR codes. A QR code that pointed at Koji won't come back. Make a new one from your new tool and reprint.
- Test it logged out. Open your profile in a browser without signing in and tap the link, the way a new visitor would.
Rebuilding on Olaa
Olaa is one place to rebuild a Koji-style page. It's a link in bio tool: one short link, olaa.im/yourname, that opens a page with everything you want people to find. Setup takes a few minutes and needs no code.
It doesn't have a built-in tip jar or video request app, so it isn't a like-for-like Koji replacement. What it covers: on the free plan, unlimited links, every look and font, music and video players that play on the page, Calendly bookings that open on the page, and a QR code. With Olaa Pro ($8 a month or $72 a year) you can show products with photo and price from Stripe, Etsy, Shopify or Gumroad as a button or buy card. Checkout happens in your own shop and Olaa takes no cut. A Stripe tip link works on any plan as an ordinary link. Pro also adds email signups sent to Mailchimp and a contact form. The full list is on the features page.
