Link in Bio Landing Page: What to Include and How to Build One
Learn what a link in bio landing page needs, how to order the buttons, and how to build and measure one for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

In this guide
The short answer
A link in bio landing page is one page you link from your Instagram, TikTok or YouTube profile. It holds the few things you want visitors to do next. Build it around one primary action, put that action right under your name and photo, and add only supporting links that serve the same visitor.
If you are still choosing a tool, start with our roundup of Linktree alternatives.
Pick one primary action first
A link in bio page works best as a focused landing page with one primary action. That might be a product launch, a booking link or a newsletter signup. Decide which one it is before you touch any design.
Secondary links belong on the page only if they serve the same visitor. A baker's page can hold "Order a loaf" and "See the menu". It does not need a link to a podcast interview from two years ago.
Build the page in this order
The page reads top to bottom on a phone, so order matters more than anything else.
- Header. Use the same name, photo and handle as your social profile, plus one line saying who you help. Visitors should feel they landed in the right place.
- Main action. Put it directly under the header. A thumbnail on the top button helps it stand out.
- Two or three supporting actions. These come right after the main one.
- Older or secondary content. Put it last.
One 2026 checklist suggests 5 to 7 buttons in total. Treat that as a guide, not a rule. If your page has a single job, fewer is fine.
Write button labels that say what happens
Start each label with a verb and state the outcome. "Book a free call" beats "Contact". "Get the spring menu" beats "Menu".
Keep button text high-contrast against the button color so it reads in daylight on a small screen.
Keep the design simple and check it on a phone
Keep colors, fonts and your photo consistent with your posts. The page should feel like an extension of your feed, not a different brand.
Check it on a phone first. Open it inside the Instagram and TikTok in-app browsers too. The same 2026 checklist suggests fast page load, a custom domain, and skipping embedded videos unless they are essential.
Add the link to each platform
Instagram lets a profile hold up to five external links, on both personal and business accounts. The five-link limit was first reported in April 2023, and menu names should be re-checked in the app since they can change.
- Open your profile and tap Edit profile.
- Find Links and tap Add links.
- Tap Add external link.
- Paste the URL and, if you like, add a title.
- Repeat up to five times.
Only the first link is visible on the profile before people tap "more". Put your landing page, or your most time-sensitive link, first. To remove a link, go to Edit profile, tap Add links, select the link and choose Remove link. For more detail, see our guide to adding a link to your Instagram bio.
TikTok
The requirements for a clickable website link on TikTok are not settled. RocketLink, a third-party blog, says you need 1,000 followers or more, and that a Registered Business Account is a second route to the same feature. Other guides say you need both a business account and 1,000 followers, and we could not confirm which is right. Check your own app to see whether the Links option appears.
A Registered Business Account usually involves verification. Depending on your country, you may be asked for documents such as a registration certificate, VAT certificate, business license or tax certificate. RocketLink also says the website link is not available everywhere, and it names no regions.
Once the Links option shows up:
- Go to your profile and tap Edit profile.
- Find Links and tap Add.
- Paste the URL and save.
- View your profile as a visitor to check the link is clickable.
If the Links option is missing, update and restart the app, then check your follower count, account type, verification status and whether the feature is available in your market. More in our TikTok bio link guide.
Keep it current and measure it
Time-limited offers are where pages go stale. Use scheduling or a visibility toggle so expired links come down on their own. Review the page monthly, and update it whenever an offer starts or ends.
To see what works, use per-button click analytics. Add UTM tags to the link you put in each platform's profile, so you can tell Instagram, TikTok and YouTube traffic apart. Instagram business and creator accounts also show external link taps in the Professional Dashboard.
If you have EU or UK visitors and use tracking pixels, you need consent management. That claim comes from tool vendors, so check the rules for your own situation.
Build it with Olaa
Olaa gives you one short link, olaa.im/yourname, that opens your page. It takes a few minutes and needs no code.
On the free plan you get one page, unlimited links, every look, font and background, and a theme pulled from one photo, so the page can match your feed. You also get featured cards for your main action, music and video players that play on the page, Calendly bookings and Google Forms that open on the page, a QR code and 7 days of analytics.
Olaa Pro is $8 a month or $72 a year. It adds scheduled links for time-limited offers, products with photo and price from Stripe, Etsy, Shopify or Gumroad, email signups sent to Mailchimp, a contact form, countdowns, 30 and 90 day analytics and no Olaa badge.
Every plan also has a Support button for tips. Tips are opening to creators a few at a time, and you request access in your dashboard. See the tip jar page. To see finished pages, browse our link in bio examples or the Ember & Brine demo. When you are ready, sign up.
Questions people ask
What should I put on a link in bio landing page?
Put your name, photo and handle with one line about who you help, then your main action, then two or three supporting links. Older or secondary content goes last.
How many links should a link in bio page have?
One 2026 checklist suggests 5 to 7 buttons. Fewer is fine if your page has one job. Every link should serve the same visitor as your main action.
Can I use more than one link on Instagram without a landing page?
Yes. Instagram allows up to five external links on a profile. Only the first shows before people tap "more", so a landing page still helps you point visitors to many things from one slot.
Why can't I add a link to my TikTok bio?
RocketLink says you need 1,000 followers or a Registered Business Account, but other guides say both, so the rule is not clear. The feature is also not available everywhere. Update the app, then check your follower count, account type, verification status and market.
How do I know which platform sends the most clicks?
Add UTM tags to the link in each platform's profile, then look at per-button click analytics. That separates Instagram, TikTok and YouTube traffic.
Is a link in bio page free to make?
It can be. Olaa's free plan covers one page with unlimited links. See is Linktree free for how other tools compare.
