Hot sauce founders lay out a grid of photos beside a giant phone showing the Ember & Brine page

Later's Link in Bio is a page at linkin.bio/yourname that copies your Instagram feed and makes each post clickable, so a follower who taps a photo goes straight to the product or page behind it. It is part of Later's social media scheduler: you add links to posts as you schedule them, and they show up on the page. It is included in Later's paid plans, which start at $25 a month (or $18.75 a month billed yearly), and Later's help center also lists a free plan with a branded version of the page.

How the clickable grid works

Instagram doesn't let you put links in post captions. Later's answer is a separate page that looks like your grid. You attach a link to a post inside Later, and that post appears on your linkin.bio page as a tile that opens the link.

A few things to know about how it behaves:

  • Only linked posts appear. A post shows on the page only once a link is attached to it, so your Link in Bio page may not match your feed exactly unless you link every post. Older, already published posts can be added too.
  • Instagram posts can carry up to 5 links. TikTok posts get a single link.
  • One link covers Instagram and TikTok. Visitors can toggle between your Instagram and TikTok feeds.
  • It isn't a product tag. Link in Bio links are separate from Instagram's shopping product tags and don't appear on your actual Instagram posts.
  • Any Instagram profile works. Personal, creator and business profiles can all use it.

Above the grid you can add buttons (unlimited), social icons, a featured banner, a multi-item banner, an email signup form or a Mailchimp form, affiliate links, and featured media such as your latest linked post or a YouTube video.

These prices come from later.com/pricing in October 2026, in US dollars with taxes extra. Every paid plan comes with a 14-day free trial.

Growth$50/month$37.50/month22180Up to 1 year
Scale$110/month$82.50/month64UnlimitedUp to 2 years

You get one Link in Bio page per Social Set, so Starter gives you one page and Scale gives you six.

On Starter and above, the page has no Later branding, and you can set your own SEO title and description and custom UTM parameters for Google Analytics. Later's pricing page lists the core Link in Bio features (buttons, linked posts, featured media, banners, email collection, customization) on all three paid plans.

Two small inconsistencies are worth knowing before you pay. The pricing page describes yearly billing as "3 months free | 25% off", while the help center's plan article says "4 months free" on an annual plan; go by the price shown at checkout. And Later's product page FAQ still mentions an "Advanced" plan, which is an older plan name.

Partly. The public pricing page lists only Starter, Growth and Scale. But Later's help center describes a Free plan: limited scheduling (12 posts per profile a month), calendar access limited to two weeks, introductory analytics and a customizable Link in Bio page. The Link in Bio product page also has a "Claim free link in bio" button that leads to signup.

The free page comes with limits:

  • A Later branded banner on your public page
  • Default UTM tracking only, no custom SEO title or description
  • 3 months of click data

If you want the page without Later's banner, Starter is the cheapest way.

Later builds the page on desktop and you add the link to Instagram on your phone. The steps below follow Later's help center.

Create the page

  1. On app.later.com on desktop, select Link in Bio in the left side menu.
  2. Choose a username. It becomes your URL, linkin.bio/username.
  3. Select Create Your Page.

If you want to work on it before anyone sees it, go to Settings and turn on Make Page Private. Turn it off when you're ready.

Edit your profile

  1. Select Edit next to Profile.
  2. Select Upload to add a JPG or PNG photo. 130 x 130 pixels works best, and you can't crop inside Later.
  3. Add a profile name (up to 30 characters) and a bio (up to 115 characters, no line breaks).
  4. Select Save Changes.

To change your username later, go to Settings, select Manage Settings, and choose Change Username. You can only do this once every 30 days.

Add buttons and your feed

  1. Select Add or Edit next to Buttons, enter the button text and link, and select Save Changes. Drag buttons to reorder them.
  2. To show your posts, select Blocks, then under Add More Blocks > Linked Social Posts select Add, and select Add next to your Instagram or TikTok profile. The profile must already be connected to your Later account.
  3. Select a post in the preview grid and add a link. For Instagram posts, select Add More Links to add up to five.
  4. Under Blocks, select Featured Media to feature your latest linked post or a YouTube video.

From then on you can add links while you schedule or edit posts in Later, so new posts arrive on the page already linked.

Add the link to Instagram

  1. Open your Link in Bio page on your phone, tap the share icon, and tap Copy Link.
  2. In the Instagram app, go to your profile and tap Edit Profile, then Links, then Add external link.
  3. Paste the link, add a title if you like, and tap Done.

If you already have a website in your bio, replace it with the linkin.bio link and add your website as a button on the page. For more on linking from posts, see how to add a link to an Instagram post.

When it doesn't work

  • Your posts aren't on the page. Check that each post has a link attached in Later. Unlinked posts don't show.
  • Setup stalls. Use the plain linkin.bio URL in your Instagram bio. Later says link shorteners like bit.ly or goo.gl can interfere with setup.
  • You can't change your username. Later allows a username change only once every 30 days, so pick carefully.
  • TikTok posts won't take more links. That's expected: TikTok posts get one link each.

Later's Link in Bio makes the most sense if you already schedule posts with Later, or want to. The page fills itself as you publish, and you manage posts, links and analytics in one account. If you only want a bio link page, paying for a scheduler is a lot of tool for the job.

Other options:

  • Linktree. Its pricing page lists an Instagram Grid feature that turns your feed into a tappable grid with links on each post. Linktree has a free plan, and Starter is $8 a month or $6 billed yearly. Our guide on how to make a Linktree walks through setup. Later can also import an existing Linktree page, including your profile, social links and design, if you move the other way.
  • Olaa. Olaa is a link in bio page without a scheduler. The free plan includes one page with unlimited links, every look and font, music and video players that play on the page, featured cards, website previews and 7 days of analytics. Olaa Pro, $8 a month or $72 a year, adds grids and carousels, photo galleries, scheduled links and products from Stripe, Etsy, Shopify or Gumroad with checkout in your own shop.
