To put a Linktree on TikTok, make your page, copy its URL, then paste it into the Website field under Edit profile in the TikTok app. TikTok only makes that link clickable once you have at least 1,000 followers or a Verified Business Account. The steps are the same for any link in bio page, not just Linktree, so you can pick the tool after you know the rules.

If you are still choosing a tool, our comparison of Linktree alternatives covers the main options. This guide focuses on TikTok: what you need, the exact steps, and what to do when the option is missing.

Check what TikTok requires first

TikTok gives you one clickable website slot, and it has a gate on it. A clickable website link needs either:

  • at least 1,000 followers, or
  • a Verified Business Account.

This is the wording of TikTok's help page as quoted by third-party sites, so check the app itself if your situation is borderline.

Two more details are worth knowing:

  • You can only add a bio link from the TikTok mobile app. The option does not appear in a desktop browser.
  • TikTok no longer supports links that open or log you into other social media apps. Use a normal web address.

Because there is only one slot, a link in bio page is the practical way to share more than one destination: your shop, your latest video, your booking page, your music.

Add your Linktree to TikTok in five steps

Linktree's own guide says this takes about two minutes. Start in Linktree, then move to TikTok.

  1. Open your Linktree admin and tap Share (top right). Copy your Linktree URL.
  2. Open the TikTok app and tap Profile at the bottom.
  3. Tap Edit profile.
  4. Tap Add next to Links, then paste the URL into the Website field.
  5. Tap Save.

You can read the original instructions in Linktree's guide to adding a Linktree to your TikTok bio. If you use another tool, copy its page URL instead and follow steps 2 to 5 unchanged. We also cover the TikTok side in more detail in how to add a link to your TikTok bio.

A few habits make the link work better:

  • Paste the full address, including the https:// at the start.
  • Open your own profile afterward and tap the link. TikTok opens it in its in-app browser, so the page should load fast and look right on a phone.
  • Keep the page short. People arrive from a video and want the one thing it mentioned.

If you have fewer than 1,000 followers

You have two options.

Type the URL into your bio text. Bio text has no follower requirement, so you can write olaa.im/yourname or any short address there. Nobody can tap it, but people can type it in or copy it. This works best with a short, memorable link.

Apply for business verification. TikTok's wording says a Verified Business Account can add the link below 1,000 followers. One guide describes the flow like this:

  1. Enter your Legal business name and Business license ID.
  2. Tap Next.
  3. Choose SMS or Voice Call for identity verification.
  4. Tap Submit.
  5. After approval, go back to Profile, then Edit profile, and use Add beside Links.

The same guide says you need to be at least 18, have business documents, and be in a supported market. It did not list which markets are supported, and sources disagree on whether regional limits apply, so check what the app offers you.

You will also see claims that switching to an ordinary Business Account unlocks the link right away. Sources disagree on that. Treat it as unproven: below 1,000 followers, plan on verification being required, and do not count on an instant unlock.

One trade-off to know about: Business accounts are limited to TikTok's Commercial Music Library, and some copyrighted sounds are not available. That matters if your videos lean on trending audio.

If you do not see the option in Edit profile, work through this list:

  1. Check your follower count. The usual cause is fewer than 1,000 followers with no Verified Business Account.
  2. Update the TikTok app. An outdated version can hide the option.
  3. Use the phone app. It will not show on desktop.
  4. Look at your account type. If you are applying through business verification, wait for approval before looking for the Links option.

There is no way to pay to skip the 1,000-follower rule.

TikTok's Links screen also has separate fields for Instagram, YouTube and Lemon8. Neal Schaffer's guide says these connect as their own profile links and do not need the follower threshold. If that is all you need to share, see how to add your Instagram link to TikTok.

Linktree or an alternative: what to compare

Linktree works, and it is the name most people search for. Before you commit, compare these things:

What to checkWhy it matters on TikTok
Free plan limitsYou may be starting with a small audience and no income yet
Fees on salesMatters if you sell products through the page
How fast the page loadsTikTok opens it in an in-app browser
How it looks on a phoneNearly all your visitors arrive from the app
Video and music supportUseful if your link is about your content

On Linktree's pricing, third-party sites list Free at $0, Starter at $8 a month, Pro at $15 and Premium at $35, with a 12% seller fee on the Free plan. They also report that Linktree raised prices in November 2025, and other sites list different figures, so check Linktree's pricing page before you decide. Our guide on whether Linktree is free goes through the plans.

Other tools exist too. Links.fans says it is free to sign up and can import links from another service. Replug is another option. We found no verified prices for either, so look at their pricing pages directly. Whichever you choose, you paste the page URL into the same Website field in TikTok.

If you also use Instagram, a single page can serve both bios. See Linktree for Instagram for that side.

How this works with Olaa

Olaa is a link in bio tool that gives you one short link, olaa.im/yourname, that opens a page with everything you want people to find. Setting up takes a few minutes and needs no code. The link goes into TikTok exactly as described above, in the Website field under Edit profile.

The free plan includes:

  • one page with unlimited links
  • every look, font and background, plus a theme pulled from one photo
  • TikTok, YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud players that play on the page
  • featured cards, website previews and social icons
  • Calendly bookings and Google Forms that open on the page
  • a QR code and 7 days of analytics

That suits a TikTok profile well: a visitor can watch or listen without leaving the page. If you sell, Olaa Pro ($8 a month or $72 a year) adds products with photo and price from Stripe, Etsy, Shopify or Gumroad. Checkout happens in your shop and Olaa takes no cut. Pro also adds email signups to Mailchimp, a contact form, scheduled links, more analytics ranges and no Olaa badge.

Olaa does not change TikTok's rules. You still need 1,000 followers or a Verified Business Account for the link to be clickable. See Olaa for TikTok, and build your page first so it is ready when the option appears.

FAQ

Do I need Linktree to add a link to my TikTok bio?

No. TikTok only needs a web address in the Website field. A Linktree page, an Olaa page or your own website all work the same way. A link in bio page just lets you share several destinations through one slot.

Can I add a Linktree to TikTok from a computer?

No. Bio links can only be added from the TikTok mobile app. The option does not appear in a desktop browser, so copy your page URL and finish on your phone.

Why can't I find the Links option in Edit profile?

The usual reason is that your account has fewer than 1,000 followers and no Verified Business Account. An outdated app version can also hide it. Update the app, then check Edit profile again.

Can I put a link in my TikTok bio with fewer than 1,000 followers?

You can type a URL into your bio text, but it will not be tappable. To get a clickable link, TikTok requires a Verified Business Account. One guide says verification needs you to be 18 or older, have business documents and be in a supported market.

Does TikTok let me add more than one link?

The Website field takes one link, so use a link in bio page to hold the rest. TikTok's Links screen also has fields for Instagram, YouTube and Lemon8. One guide says those connect separately and do not need the follower threshold.

Is Linktree free to use on TikTok?

Linktree has a free plan, and third-party sites list paid plans from $8 a month. They also report a 12% seller fee on the Free plan. Prices have changed recently and sites disagree, so check Linktree's pricing page.
