Best Link in Bio Tools for Instagram, Compared
Compare Linktree, Beacons, Stan, Later and Olaa for Instagram with current prices and fees, and see when Instagram's own five links are enough.
· 7 min read

Instagram now lets you add up to five links to your profile for free, so you only need a link in bio tool when five plain links aren't enough. If you mostly share links, Linktree, Olaa or Beacons' free plans cover it. If you sell courses or digital products, Stan or Beacons are built around selling, and if you already schedule posts with Later, its Link in Bio page turns your grid into clickable posts.
Prices below come from each company's own pricing and help pages, read in October 2026, in US dollars.
Start with Instagram's own five links
Before you sign up for anything, try what Instagram gives you. Instagram's help center lists these steps in the app:
- Tap Profile or your profile picture in the bottom right.
- Tap Edit profile at the top of the screen.
- Tap Links, then tap Add external link and paste the URL.
- Tap Done, then tap Back.
Repeat for up to five links. To change the order, go to Edit profile > Links, tap Options, then Reorder links, and drag a link up or down. To delete one, tap it and tap Remove link.
Two things trip people up. Instagram's help center says adding a website isn't available on computers, so do this in the iPhone or Android app. And if your profile won't save, Instagram says it may be because you entered something not allowed, such as certain characters or links that ask someone to add you on another service. Our full walkthrough is in how to add a link to your Instagram bio.
When a link page is worth it
Five links are plenty if you have a shop, a newsletter and a couple of profiles. A link page earns its place when:
- You have more than five things to share, or they change every week.
- You want it to look like you, with your colors, photos and a short intro, instead of a plain list of URLs.
- You sell something and want products, prices or a buy button in one place.
- You want to know what gets tapped, since a link page shows clicks per link.
- You use the same link everywhere, including TikTok, YouTube and a QR code on a flyer.
A link page uses one of your five Instagram links. Put it first, then use the other slots for your most important direct links.

How each one works for Instagram
Linktree
Linktree's Free plan includes unlimited basic links and email and phone sign-ups. Starter adds a personalized page, unlimited featured links and basic analytics. Pro removes Linktree branding and adds custom designs, mailing list integrations and selling with 0% fees. Premium adds link rules and routing, all-time analytics, data export, social media scheduling and unlimited Instagram auto-replies. Pro and Premium have a 7-day free trial.
Linktree says pricing varies by region and that transaction and processing fees may apply, and its FAQ says it currently charges USD$0.25 per payout. Best for: anyone who wants a familiar, simple page. More in Linktree for Instagram.
Beacons
Beacons' Free plan has unlimited links, a media kit, Smart Reply auto-DMs and 50 email sends, and you can sell with a 9% fee on sales. Creator ($10 a month) adds a custom domain and more email sends, still with 9% seller fees. Creator Plus ($30 a month or $300 a year) drops seller fees to 0%, adds Buy Now Pay Later, unlimited marketing emails, memberships and courses, and removes the Beacons logo.
One thing to check: Beacons' pricing page also says "no platform fees on the free plan", while the same page and its help center list 9% seller fees on Free. Expect the 9% on sales. Best for: creators who sell and work with brands. See Linktree vs Beacons for a closer look.
Stan
Stan is a store first. Its Creator plan ($29 a month or $300 a year) includes a storefront, booking calendar, an online course builder, recurring subscriptions, lead magnets and email collection, communities and Stan AutoDM for automated Instagram responses. Creator Pro ($99 a month or $948 a year) adds discount codes, upsells and order bumps, Afterpay and Klarna, funnels, affiliate management, email broadcasts and flows, and pixel tracking. Stan says "0% Transaction Fees, Always" and offers a 14-day free trial, with no free plan listed. Best for: coaches and educators selling courses, calls and downloads.
Later's Link in Bio
Later's page looks like your Instagram grid. You attach a link to a post inside Later, and that post appears on the page as a clickable tile, so a post only shows once it has a link. You can also add unlimited buttons and featured media, and one link works for both Instagram and TikTok. It works with personal, creator and business profiles, and Later can import an existing Linktree page.
Later's help center lists a Free plan with a customizable Link in Bio page and limited scheduling. Paid plans are Later's social media scheduler plans with Link in Bio included. Later's pricing page says you can add up to 5 links to Instagram posts, while its Link in Bio FAQ says 5 links per post is for the Growth and Advanced plans, so check your plan. Best for: people already scheduling with Later. Details in our Later Link in Bio guide.
Where Olaa fits
Olaa gives you one short link, olaa.im/yourname, that opens a page with everything you want people to find. The free plan includes one page with unlimited links, every look, font and background, a theme pulled from one photo, music and video players that play on the page (Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok), featured cards, social icons, Calendly bookings and Google Forms that open on the page, a QR code and 7 days of analytics.
Olaa Pro is $8 a month or $72 a year. It adds products with photo and price from Stripe, Etsy, Shopify or Gumroad (checkout happens in your shop and Olaa takes no cut), email signups sent to Mailchimp, a contact form, galleries, countdowns, scheduled links, 30 and 90 day analytics, up to 10 pages and no Olaa badge. Setup takes a few minutes and needs no code. If you sell through your own shop rather than a built-in store, it is a good fit. See what's included, compare plans or look at Olaa for Instagram.
How to pick
- Five links or fewer, rarely changing: use Instagram's own links and skip the tool.
- A good-looking page for free: Linktree, Beacons or Olaa free plans.
- Selling courses, coaching or downloads inside the tool: Stan or Beacons Creator Plus, both at 0% fees.
- Selling in your own Shopify, Etsy or Stripe shop: a link page that shows products and sends people to your checkout, like Olaa Pro.
- Already planning posts in Later: use the Link in Bio page you already have.

FAQ
What is the best link in bio tool for Instagram?
It depends on what you share. For a simple page, a free plan from Linktree, Beacons or Olaa works. For selling courses and bookings inside the tool, Stan and Beacons are built for it, and Later suits people who already schedule posts there.
Do I still need a link in bio tool now that Instagram allows five links?
Not always. If five links cover everything and rarely change, Instagram's own links are enough. A link page helps when you have more to share, want your own design, sell products or want click analytics.
Can I add links to my Instagram bio from a computer?
No. Instagram's help center says adding a website to your profile isn't available on computers. Use the Instagram app on iPhone or Android.
Which link in bio tools charge fees on sales?
Beacons charges 9% on sales on its Free and Creator plans and 0% on Creator Plus and Creator Max. Stan says it charges 0% transaction fees. Linktree Pro lists 0% selling fees, though Linktree notes that transaction and processing fees may apply. Olaa sends buyers to your own shop's checkout and takes no cut.
Why won't Instagram save my bio link?
Instagram says profile save errors can come from something that isn't allowed, such as certain characters or links that ask someone to add you on another service. Edit the link and try saving again.
